CONCEPT BOARD
With the concept board the keywords that I used where
ethereal Fantasy,Diy aesthetic Dreamy, Mystical,Textures,Celestial,Grungy to create the mood and art direction , going with darker deep colors as well to keep that mystical throughout the magazine.

Developing personas for the magazine guided me in selecting appropriate content and identifying the target age range of our audience. This process helped shape the visual design and layout. A major goal for me was to ensure the magazine is inclusive, welcoming people from all backgrounds.
Typography
For the body text, I wanted to choose a serif font to have a regal book feel, I used a typeface called Yana that comes in three weights, the font has a little bit of a whimsical flare that's not too distracting and is easy to read as most serif fonts cause eye fatigue when used.
For the headers, I went with a few fraktur-type fonts since they’re more legible than the classic old English that was the original plan. Senator Ot and Magtis were added for of modern approach to certain articles but they still were kept in the brand.

The layout design of this magazine is a key element guiding how our readers navigate through the content. I intended the magazine to be compact and portable, easily carried around. The design features a 2-3 column structure, complemented by graphic elements and full-page images, creating a scrapbook feel. Additionally, the layout experiments with text, incorporating asymmetry and large paragraph indents to enhance visual interest. Full-page images further enrich the reader's experience.
Here are a few spreads of psychopomp that im very happy how they came out I stayed a two column for text so the readers have a easier time reading the magazine.
